It also comes with Secure-A-Key that helps to prevent keyless entry theft. This device is inserted into the remote control fob, and disables it when the key isn't used for more than a few minutes. It stops thieves from transmitting the key's frequency to other devices that will allow the key to be opened and start the car.

Personalisation

Bentley's Mulliner division allows customers to create their own car. The guests receive keys made by hand, which contains the R.F.I.D. enabled key cards. The keys can be fitted with Bentley Muliner Personalised welcome lamps, which illuminate the path of the door opening with the owner's name or logo as they approach the vehicle.

Bentley claims it takes about 500 man hours to design and assemble the average Mulsanne. The refusal to embrace modern technology is the key to this lengthy and laborious process. Instead of using a machine to place the perfectly-matched leather seats, workers at the Crewe factory do it by hand. And rather than using the car's built-in sensors guide it to parallel and perpendicular parking spots, drivers have to perform the task by hand.

Bentley displayed its Mulliner personalization skills with the release of a special Mulsanne W.O. Edition, that pays tribute to William Osler, the founder of Bentley. The Mulsanne W.O. Edition pays homage to founder William Osler Bentley. The limited edition cars are available in 100. a special key that displays a slice of the 1930 8 Litre's crankshaft.
